You probably won't remember but some time ago I said that I didn't think many tadpoles had survived due to the presence of newts in the ponds. Boy, how wrong was I!

My garden abounds with froglets. It's like having 500 naughty children all at once, bouncing about and heading for places definitely hazardous to their health like my cat run.

Look how tiny they are. I'm hardly able to do anything in the garden now for fear of treading on one. It's worse when it rains and my only trips down the garden now are to water the tomatoes in the greenhouse.

Still, I'm more than honoured that my garden is a home for such marvellous creatures and I really don't mind putting my feet up for a little while.
