This massive undertaking, following Wainwright's route from St. Bees on the West coast to Robin Hood's Bay on the East, means that she will be walking for 192 miles across England. That's 192 miles, in two weeks, which is an average of 14 miles per day!
Moreso, Heather is doing this on her own and is aiming to raise as much money as possible for her two chosen charities, British Kidney Patients Association and Rochdale Hedgehog Rescue; both very worthwhile causes.
I think this is a hugely courageous thing to do. Could you walk 14 miles a day, every day, for two weeks? I know I couldn't.
If anyone reading would like to help and offer some sponsorship, however small, I know Heather would be very grateful.
I'll be keeping you informed as to her progress but in the meantime I really do wish her the very best for Wednesday and the next two weeks.
